I have a few tips for you: Building your house off the ground makes it so zombies cannot reach you, this is helpful for when zombies break your doors in (you'll find out when that happens soon enough). You can use rope to get to your house, as enemies cannot use rope. Bows are the most powerful early game weapon when paired with fire or frostburn arrows. You can easily make a powerful bow with boreal wood or palm wood. You can also make one with ore underground. Platinum and gold are the best. Platforms are the easiest way to move around in the early game. You can use smart cursor to easily place them as stairs to get to places. Talking to the guide will help you progress, but the wiki can also be a great resource for you. Keep that as an option for when you are stuck or want to know more about the game mechanics.

If you talk to the GUIDE(Dylan) select "craft" you can show him almost every items that described as a "materials" and he will tell you what you can craft, hope this help you non the less.
